Job Description

SAVITRI GROUP is hiring Repair and Calibration Engineer (Test and Measurement Equipment- Telecom) for Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai location.
The Repair and Calibration Engineer is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide range of test and measurement equipment, including Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs), Splicing Machines, Locators, Markers, and Power Meters etc. This individual will work closely with the engineering teams to ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition and meets industry standards for accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and repair equipment failures and malfunctions, using schematics, technical manuals, and other resources as needed.
    • Perform regular calibration and maintenance on all test and measurement equipment, including Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs), Splicing Machines, Locators, Markers, and Power Meters etc.
    • Document all repairs and calibrations in accordance with company and industry standards.
    • Provide technical support and training to engineering teams as needed.
    • Keep abreast of new technologies, products, and services in the test and measurement equipment industry.
    • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
    • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

All you need is

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
    • Diploma/ITI in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the repair and calibration of test and measurement equipment.
    • Strong understanding of electronics, optics, and telecommunications systems.
    • Proficient in the use of test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of ISO, NABL, and other industry standards for test and measurement equipment is an added advantage.
